  • “Danni came highly recommended. The problem we had is that we had never launched a program like the DEI Initiative before. Her passion and drive for real DEI, plus her experience as a DEI practitioner at Coursera was an excellent fit (and God-send). I really appreciate her 'not all sizes fits most' approach. Meaning, for every event and/or content Danni has helped us deliver, she always challenges me to think outside the box or beyond what is on the surface. Whereas, some providers have a cookie cutter approach. It was truly a pleasure working with her! P.S. when are you taking new clients?”

  • “Dr. Buie's approach is experience and impact based. She's been there and done the work and knows what challenges and opportunities lie within the work. Additionally, her experience in both public and fast growing tech companies gives her a perspective that fits most companies' stages of growth. Danni’s the best!”

 FAQs

  • I partner directly with my clients to help them better understand their people, systems, and behaviors that contribute to their cultures and help them work towards a more diverse, equitable and inclusive version of themselves.

I typically focus my engagements on:

» Conducting and driving culture assessments. Partner with clients to conduct assessments of organizations’ cultures, policies, processes, and strategy.

» Designing engagements and developing DEI strategies. Assist in designing and tailoring engagements and strategic plans in response to assessment findings in collaboration with clients.

» Advising on people processes and policies. Consult with clients and internally on issues related to hiring, performance management, promotion, and other people processes and DEI best practices.

  • I work with high-impact and mission-based organizations across sectors to create and implement innovative approaches for building culture at scale. My recurring clients are smaller companies or tech startups with less than 1,000 employees.

  • In short, no. Often organizations emphasize the importance of DEI training and make significant investments to train employees, however there isn't much emphasis on capacity building following DEI training which limits their ability to drive and sustain inclusive behavioral change. There are many out-of-the-box training programs and content that already exist, therefore I focus more on DEI strategy acceleration by helping you to dig deep, find concrete solutions, build a step by step plan, and identify the tools that will keep you motivated for implementation.

If requested, I can recommend some platforms and vendors for your DEI training and facilitation needs.
